Hey Everyone...
It has been so long since we updated the Xanga site...which I will admit is totally bush-league...for that I humbly ask for your forgiveness. I will continue the whole forgiveness theme...The whole not having campus cookouts was huge miscommunication..but not between us...the youth minister (who will remain nameless) that coordinates all the churches FORGOT. Yes that is right, he forgot. Check this out, Jon Stepan and I were up at Midland High on the Monday of said cookouts with the cookers ready...and nobody showed up with meat or buns or everything..called the guy...He had forgot...so He canceled the cookouts for this month...Sorry about that...did not have the time to get the word out...
Anyways..a little look into my life...God has taught me a whole bunch..but it has been a painful experience...not one that has been always full of joy and happiness...Sometimes we think that if things go wrong and the things of life seem overwhelming, then God must be mad at us or is frustrated. But, through this process I would disagree and believe that pain, frustration, and hard times can actually be God's loving grace.
I know you may be saying..what the crud..but follow me. Pain, hurt, trial usually forces us back to the feet of God in prayer, dependence, and presence. Without all the hurt, etc. we would more than likely not come to God much and become numb to Him and His love. So in the past several months, I have been asking to LOVE Him even more...and as a result His grace has come through unexpected channels...It was as if God was saying...the loudest way that I can declare that I am with you...the loudest way I can say I love you...is through trial, hurt, pain...because it will force you to see me like I need to be seen....As the ONLY ONE WORTHY and the ONLY ONE WHO WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU..I will cause you to RUN TO ME WITH NO PRIDE...NO ARROGANCE..BUT HOPE AND HUMILITY AND LOVE FOR ME..THE ONE TRUE GOD.
I hope that this may be an encouragement....God has encouraged me...Remember...He will never leave nor forsake you..but sometimes..we have to change the way we see..so we can see His grace..His love and kindness that leads us to repentance (i.e. leads us back to Him!!!)
